Two Vintage Beaded Bead Necklaces in Seafoam and Violet - 18" and 22 3/4"

from $320.00

Light, Elegant & Fun

  • In a pretty mix of neutrals and brights.

  • Almost as light as air.

Made with:

  • Beaded beads I made years ago by sttiching or layering tiny glass beads around wooden forms whose ends are finished with resin. In 1994 I received a patent for this invention, not quite realizing at the time that no one would ever want to reproduce them because they’re too hard to make.

  • Most of the small glass beads were produced in Japan in the 1990s. Their even shapes and fairly large holes made them easy to stitch. Also, they came - and still come now - in beautiful colors and finishes.

  • The short necklace also ontains 2 beaded beads made of tiny, antique Venetian glass beads in shades of mint and celadon. Comparable in size to a grain of sand, beads were made in the late 19th century.

  • Both necklaces feature oxidized sterling silver lobster clasps that hook into large sterlingrings for easy on-off.

Weight:

  • Both are lightweight.

Lengths, Dimensions & Prices:

  • Short Necklace - 18” x 1/2” diameter - Originally $535 - Sale $410.

  • Long Necklace - 22 3/4” x 1/2’ diameter - Originally $685 - Sale $675.

Additional Information:

  • I will sign the clasps before shipping.

  • Either necklace can be shorrened or lengthened at no charge. Lengthening can include extra beaded beads for a cost of $20.00 each. Or I can lengthen by adding spacer beads. Just click Contact and send me a note. Or add a note at checkout.
