Faceted Czech glass beads in mottled mauve, stitched into graceful ovals using a mainland Chinese bead netting technique I learned by reverse engineerig pieces I collected in China long ago.
Japanese glass beads in shades of matte sandy and matte charcoal, stitched into a dense rectangular mesh using a bead netting technique first documented in ancient Egypt by ca. 2400 BC. The technique goes by the name of “peyote stitch” in the United States and elsewhere. The beaded rectangle is then stitched around a section of a wooden dowel whose ends are finished with resin.
Oxidized sterling end beads and clasps.
Strung on a double strand of nylon-coated steel cable for maximum durability.
Weight:
Light to medium.
Dimensons:
19 1/4” long by just over 5/8” maximum diameter
