Made with:

• Contemporary Czech glass beads stitched into spheres and ovals using mainland Chinese beading techniques that are at least 100-175 years old.

• Japanese glass seed beads in a rich shade of rose copper. Woven in peyote stitch around the perineter of a wooden form whose ends are finished with resin.

• Four large round glass beads featuring geometric patterns in shades of mauve, cinnabar and teal. Probably made in India - but I acquired them 40 or so years ago so I no longer remember. Pretty and rare, they complement the other beads in the necklace as if they were all made for each other.

• An oxidized sterling silver lobster clasp with a nice large sterling ring for easy on-off.

• Light to medium. Not heavy by my estimation.
