An Early Experiment.
From ca. 1994, when I first learned cubic right angle weave as I was writing the chapter on David Chatt’s work for 2005cmy book, The Art of Beadwork: Historic Inspiration, Contemporary Design. David was the first to explore the potential of this technique in his beaded art works. To see a few, Google “David Chatt beadwork.” You’ll be amazed, as I was and am.
The holes in this Windowpane Element are rather small. They will comfortably accommodate one of my THIN neck wires, or a Chris’s Cable. You can also probably fit one of my THICK neckwires through the holes, but you will likely struggle.
Made with:
Antique European glass beads that some bead specialists call “Cornerless Cubes.” In a soft blue color. They resemble contemporary Czech glass "firepolish” beads, which are oval in shape. These blue beads look more like spheres.
Weight:
Lightweight.
Dimensions:
1 1/8” wide by 1 3/4” tall by 5/8” deep.
Additional Informaton:
Can be worn vertically as shown or horizontally, depending where you insert the neckwire.
